"Canon" shines for a hundred years | Nothing can be achieved in the world without a will.

[Interpretation]

Wang Yangming (1472— 1529), a famous thinker, writer, philosopher and strategist in Ming Dynasty.

In 1506, in the first year of Zhengde, Emperor Wuzong of Ming Dynasty, Wang Yangming offended eunuch Liu Jin by writing a letter to save Dai Xi and others, and was persecuted by him. In the second year, he was relegated to Longchang Post in Guizhou, where he completed the "Longchang Enlightenment". He keeps giving lectures every day, and books "Dogma Showing Life in Dragon Field" as an instruction.

Zhusheng, in the Ming Dynasty, refers to the students who were admitted as scholars. In the dogma, Wang Yangming set the criteria for all students from four aspects: determination, diligence, reform and responsibility for goodness, among which determination is the most important one. Wang Yangming believes that determination is the basis and premise of learning. "If you don’t have a will, nothing can be achieved in the world. Although there are all kinds of skills, there is no one who is not motivated. " It means that if you can’t set your ambition, there will be nothing successful in the world. Even the skills of various craftsmen are not learned without ambition. He also set a metaphor from the opposite side: "If you don’t have a will, like a boat without a rudder and a horse without a title, what is the end?" Ambition is not settled, just like a boat without a rudder and a horse without a chew, drifting with the water and running at will, where will it end? Thus, the importance and necessity of "determination" are highly emphasized.

[Interpretation]

Strengthening ideals and beliefs and adhering to the spiritual pursuit of communist party people have always been the foundation for communist party people to settle down. Belief in Marxism, socialism and communism is the political soul of communist party people and the spiritual pillar for communist party people to stand any test.

The revolutionary ideal is higher than the sky. Looking back on the party’s century-old history, without a large number of Chinese sons and daughters with firm communist ideals, there would be no the Communist Party of China (CPC), no new China, and no development and progress in China today. We cannot realize the Chinese dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation without the power of ideals and beliefs.

Ideals are ideals because of their greatness, and beliefs are beliefs because of their persistence. Ideals and beliefs are the spiritual "calcium" of communist party people. Without ideals and beliefs, ideals and beliefs are not firm, they will be mentally "calcium-deficient" and will get "rickets". Only with firm ideals and beliefs can we stand firm in the face of all kinds of temptations, take a clear-cut stand in front of big and big issues, and be fearless in the face of wind and waves.

The light of ideal never dies, and the light of faith never dies. Comrades of the whole party should keep in mind the teachings of the Supreme Leader General Secretary, always maintain political determination in the pursuit of ideals, strengthen their convictions, invigorate their spirits, have high morale, take active actions, consciously become firm believers and loyal practitioners of lofty ideals and common ideals, and give full play to the vanguard and exemplary role in the historical process of building a new socialist modernized country in an all-round way and realizing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese dream by the Chinese nation.
