Yi Jianhong said that Kunming University of Science and Technology has always attached great importance to sports, and the teachers and students of the whole school have always had a fine tradition of loving sports and sports. At the opening ceremony, representatives of athletes and referees took the oath. The Institute of Physical Education showed the achievement of physical education teaching "Ba Duan Jin", and the school cheerleading team and the school art troupe performed sports dance together. During the epidemic period in COVID-19, the Institute of Physical Education actively explored a new online physical education teaching mode, and carried out diversified home physical exercises such as Ba Duan Jin and sports dance, so as to realize "non-stop learning, non-stop teaching, non-stop practicing, non-stop training and non-stop competition" to encourage students to carry out extensive physical activities and ensure the quality and effectiveness of teaching.
Finally, Zhang Yingjie, secretary of the Party Committee of Kunming University of Science and Technology, announced the official opening of the 43rd faculty and the 48th student track and field games.
The annual track and field meeting is not only an exciting sports event in the whole school, but also a comprehensive review of the school sports work, the mental outlook of teachers and students and a major test of the athletes’ physical fitness, competitive level and psychological endurance.
